  1. What a walk down memory lane. My memories of SOUTHPARK begin shortly before the grand opening of Thalhimer's. Thalhimer's being my first job in Charlotte. (the "Big City" in comparison to Franklin NC where I spent school years.)
I am trying to remember the ladies' store that was in the same corridor but directly opposite the Intimate bookstore. My girlfreinds and I purchased many trendy things there for fun nights out. Seems like it was a two-word title. Any ideas?

  2. I'm not sure which store that was. Carroll Reed? Audrey Jones? That's a head-scratcher.

In any event, It's nice to hear from someone who worked at SouthPark in this era. What was Thalhimers like back then?

  3. I started coming to Southpark back in 1981 when my family moved to Charlotte. I used to bug my parents to drive me to the mall so I could purchase Choose Your Own Adventure books from the Intimate Bookshop. At that time, there wasn't even a foodcourt. The anchors were Sears, Woolworth (or Walgreens, can't remember) and Belk. I don't remember if there was a 4th anchor at that time.
