  1. Love the Belk arch from their late 80's phase. There's a huge one at the original Belk (now Dillard's Women's) at Hamilton Place Chattanooga. Any idea how many stores Belk built with these?

  2. Belk was big on arches for a long while, especially in the late '80s. The gigantic arch that Belk Hamilton Place had is confirmed in at least two other locations: Belk Carolina Place in Pineville (Charlotte) and Belk (originally Belk Beck) Oak Hollow Mall in High Point. I'm not aware of any others, but there could be. The Belk arch from Biltmore Square looks like the arch at Leggett (now Dillard's) Virginia Center Commons in Richmond. there are likely more, but I can't confirm them. Belk Rhodes at Mount Berry Square in Rome, Ga. used another Dillard's-style arch as did the Belk at Inlet Square in Murrell's Inlet, S.C. but I can't confirm another use of that style.

  3. I think that Belk at Johnson City may have the arch also.

  5. I think I saw a picture of the Belk there. But I googled it and I couldnt find it again. That mall makes me feel thankful for the Asheville Mall
