  2. For fans of retail design, Bloomingdale's is fascinating. It's not the fanciest store, or the most historic, but they have a way with store design that is distinctly theirs.

    There are sections of this place that are radically different each time I go, yet there are things that have remained the same for decades. It all works together pretty well, because the details are consitent.
